I am located in Downtown Washington Missouri on 201A West Main and Oak Streets.My name is Suzie and I am from Belfast Northern Ireland living here in Missouri since 2003. Straight off the boat you might say. I opened The Blackthorn Stick in March 2007 wondering how an Irish store would be received in a German town. I didn't have to worry; the towns-people welcomed me with open arms and even Tim Ezel from Fox2 News came for a visit and put my face and store on the morning news. FYI... he cant do an Irish jig to save his life! Everyone appeared to think it was a wonderful idea and the store was met with such enthusiasm, it took my breath away. My thanks go out to those who supported me in my adventure. Now, I am settled in and still loving it! |
